WHY?

Allowing fresh air into enclosed rooms can help eliminate the viruses in the air and prevent the spread of COVID-19. An adequate design, maintenance and operation of the ventilation system can reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread in indoor spaces by diluting the concentration of potentially infectious aerosols through ventilation with outside air and filtration of recirculated air.

When a person with COVID-19 breathes, speaks, coughs, or sneezes, particles (droplets and aerosols) containing the virus that causes COVID-19 are released. In poorly ventilated rooms, the viral concentration in the air can build up, increasing the risk of transmitting COVID-19, particularly if the room contains a high number of sick people. In combined ventilation systems, two unique sets of ventilation are greatly paired. Extract air units and fans with heat recovery are very effective when combined: While heat recovery systems provide constant fresh air without heat loss in living spaces,the more favorably priced exhaust air device could be used for standard extract air rooms such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, or utility rooms can be ventilated cost-effectively as needed.

As a result, the measured surface sound pressure levels are low in order to not disrupt the school, workplace, hospital or the home environment.
